About Porta 38 - Wine, Food & More

Lunch or dinner at Porta 38 lands somewhere between a wine bar and a proper sit-down meal, and that loose definition is exactly the point. The kitchen runs on homemade food — the kind of detail regulars notice — and the sausage and bacalhau à brás keep coming up in what people order, alongside the sangria, which has become something of a house signature. Staff are polite and the atmosphere stays calm and family-friendly, which in the middle of Guimarães centro is not always a given. A crowd that comes back a third time says something.

Porta 38 - Wine, Food & More is the neighbourhood spot done right — unhurried, unpretentious, with a wine list that gives it an edge over most of its category.

In the last 90 days, Porta 38 - Wine, Food & More has drawn 7 substantial written reviews (50+ characters of genuine feedback) — recent momentum that is one of the signals behind its place on the hot list.
